Fashionably Late Friday: Bow

I have been late for just about everything these days. Late replying to emails, late waking up in the morning, late when catching up with friends. Terrible. And late with my fashion posts!

I have been enjoying big quirky accessories lately so even though I'm late I wanted to sneak in here and show you this bow necklace. It's from Gala Curios and one of my favourites.

I still love this poster after all this time and think it might look lovely in the study. Another job for my framer. I'm picking this one up tomorrow!

Fashionably Late Friday: Dress up. Dress down.

An old friend of mine had the most amazingly organised wardrobe I have ever seen. It was divided into three parts - work clothes, casual clothes and evening wear. Everything was neatly folded and there was space between the clothes that were hanging. Unheard of at my place!

Inspired

This morning I was lucky to be able to take time off work to sit in on a seminar about design and colour with speakers George Freedman of PTW and Greg Natale. Hearing about their vision, the challenges and seeing their work and the magic - I was inspired and left with my head buzzing and full of ideas. Isn't it wonderful when that happens? Has that happened to you?

A David Bromley print

I have been meaning to frame a few prints including this David Bromley purchased for Robbie.

These photos were taken at the framers. We settled on a double white mount and white frame. An obvious choice for me given the other prints and paintings in my home are framed in white too.

Can't wait to see it hanging in Robbie's room.

Fahionably Late Friday: Lace + Floral

I changed my mind on this outfit at the last minute because the weather turned however I do think the tiny florals and lace makes for a sweet combination. Might be sweeter without the belt though.

Headboard Idea

Truthfully I am no closer to making a decision on a headboard for Robert's new bed. I am swimming in fabric samples looking for the right one but I am so indecisive.

I must say thank you for all of your great suggestions for a headboard when I wrote about Robert's new room here.

One suggestion was to:


I like the idea of adding natural wood to his room for character and warmth. Perhaps something like this DIY headboard from House*Tweaking which happens to have my favourite word written on it:


Or I can imagine a row of hanging buntings painted in white on the wood would look great too.

Dining area

Will I ever stop working on my home? I'm not sure!

The latest corner I am tackling is the dining area. I have recently purchased these dining chairs and I am hunting down the below fabric to cover the seats with.


I am considering pairing the chairs with either this Stuart Membery dining table with its Moroccan style base:

Fashion Friday: Thirty Two

Hello, hello! Forgive me, this week has been madness but it's Friday, 4th February and this means that I can put my party shoes on and celebrate another birthday.
