Probably the most exciting thing my partner and I have done recently is to merge our "stuff" together into this old house. Okay, so it's not all terribly exciting (we don't lead glamorous lives it seems) but it has been a big task finding storage, making space for his things and it is nice that we are almost done and settling into our new lives.

ReplyDeleteRecently my partner and I realised we could remove the cusions on the couch and turn it into a king single sized bed/couch. We then took turns being Big Spoon/Little Spoon while watching back to back episodes of How to Make it in America. We also ate cake.
Fun.
On a warm day we moved our kitchen table and bench out on to our patio to enjoy the glorious breeze...along with homemade craft cocktails and frozen kung pao chicken. Glorious!
ReplyDeleteMy hubby and I assembled our baby boy's cot (our first baby - the little chubba is 2 months old now and has outgrown the bassinet). That night we spied on him through the crack of his bedroom door to watch him sleep - it was his first night in his own room on his own. We were so proud proud of him.

I sat down Mr Kitty to watch Disney's Aladdin. He had never seen it, whereas it was my favourite film growing up. I even resisted singing along so that he would get a proper viewing experience! It was awesome and now he understands why I loved it so much and why I love harem pants and pointed curly slippers like Princess Jasmine's.

We recently had our second baby, so time out has been a bit minimal. In the hospital though, we sat on my bed with that new little face in the cot beside us and had a bit of an impromptu 'picnic' with my hospital tidings. It was a nice 'date', despite the surroundings. Gold Class would be much better! ;)

My Partner and I recently made a big effort to make our house feel more like 'us' by dedicating a week to painting. We had such fun doing it and it's great to see what a difference it has made. kathryn.badger@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteMy partner and I recently turned his dingy music studio into an aztec haven with lighting, vintage wall hangings and cacti plants...it was so much fun to see the change in atmosphere and listen to his musical magic in a beautiful space.

A few weeks ago my partner and I took our girls up to our farm, specifically with the intention to jump in muddy puddles! Our girls are hug Peppa Pig fans and we all had the best, funnest, muddiest time!

We went to Melbourne for a wedding but left our suit bag at home in the crazy rush of getting three under 5s out of the door for an 8.15 flight! A massive dent in the savings and a shopping spree later, we all rocked up with new outfits to the wedding.
