DIY Cupcake Stand

Do you have an event coming up? Perhaps you might like to try this idea found via Apartment Therapy. It is a cupcake stand made of vintage plates and glass candlestick holders held together with epoxy. I think it is adorable. I only wish I had come across this idea earlier to suggest for my friends kitchen tea party (although the stands we used were great too).

  2. Viv, this is a great great idea.
My mother in law said to me. what do you want for your birthday and I told her a cake stand, but she doesn't find one (I'm thinking in my daughter birthday, you know)
So this is a good alternative.

  7. My sister and I were just discussing this sort of thing for her wedding (in around 6 months time), and I'd actually come on here to find your painted bottles.
Her theme colours are black, silver and ivory, and we'd been discussing how good the parfait/milkshake glasses would look with silver star wire in them, with black painted bottles decorated in silver as vases in the buffet table.
    Thanks, Viv :)
You always make my smile :)
