A room swap & plans for Robbie's new bedroom

Robbie's current bedroom doesn't have as much natural light as the study room and after recently discovering a bit of dampness on that side of the house I have decided it will be best to swap his bedroom with the study room. It is also a good opportunity to freshen up both rooms and give them an updated look.
Here are the plans for Robbie's new room and it has his seal of approval. It has been fun involving him in the process this time around. Many items are existing but I will be purchasing a few new special items for him as well.

1. Palm Leaves Wallpaper, Cole & Son
I was thinking of using this wallpaper elsewhere but I think it would look lovely in his new room, what do you think?

2. Raindrop pillow case, Harvest Textiles
I bought this new pillow case for him recently from the Koskela showroom.

3. Lamp, shade is from Ada & Darcy
This is an old lamp base painted blue with a new lamp shade.

4. Molecule Building Set, Ferm Living
A gift for Robbie

5. Bed head, eBay find
This is Robbie's existing bed head

6. Chest of drawers, Snooze
This is Robbie's existing chest of drawers.

7. Cuckoo clock, Hart & Heim
Robbie has this hanging in his current room.

8. Varpunen sack, The Minimalist
This item is currently out of stock so I'll keep an eye out for it's return. It would be cute to store a few toys in his room. The other toys will go into the new study / playroom.

9. Geometry quilt & pillowcase, Adairs
This set was gifted to us and would look nice I think combined with his Rachel Castle white sheets and maybe even a new throw.

10. Floor rug, IKEA
This is an existing floor rug which we'll keep for the time being because it has held up well.
The wallpaper in both rooms will be replaced. I'm not sad about losing the floral wallpaper in the study because it is damaged but it won't be easy to take down the circus wallpaper eventually. It will linger for a while longer while Robbie settles into his new room.

  1. Thats exciting that Robbie will be moving rooms, Im sure as the years pass he'll put his stamp on it more and more. I like that your not afraid to redecorate and change the wallpaper too, I thought repainting would be hard so rewallpapering now that is dedication! Whatever you do I know it will be devine :)

    1. Thanks Michelle. I think he's more excited about the change of rooms and not the actual bits that make up his bedroom. But I'm excited that we are doing this together this time.

I'll admit I'm not looking forward to re-wallpapering part! I haven't torn down wallpaper before so it will be a first for me.
