Today I have the first of seven giveaways to introduce to you - a Witchery gift voucher valued at $200!
Each prize relates to a keyword and this week's keyword is "STYLISH".
To enter, all you have to do is tell me in the comments below in 25 words or less what fashion style you would like to try one day. It can be anything at all! A trend you have seen that you would like to try or a colour you haven't worn much that you would like to introduce into your wardrobe. Be brave! And please leave an email address in your comment so that we have a way to contact you if you win.

In terms of my style I feel as though I can be open to wearing just about all styles as long as I feel comfortable wearing it. I recently sorted through my wardrobe throwing away items I no longer wear, collecting a pile for charity and organising the remainder of my wardrobe. I noticed that my wardrobe is very colourful although the colour I was lacking the most was brown. I just can't make it work and I think this may have something to do with having brown eyes and brown hair... brown clothes feel just so.. brown! So I tend to avoid it in most cases and I think I just might give myself the challenge of introducing it more into my wardrobe. I'm craving a dark chocolate pair of boots actually. Or maybe I'm just craving chocolate!
PS. You have until 5:00pm 24 July AEST to enter and it is open to Australian residents only. Good luck!

ReplyDeleteThanks
Brenda

Hey Viv! Great comp :-)
ReplyDeleteI live in Melbourne and I find it hard to be colourful in winter. I love bright patterns, but coats are almost always black. So the style I would like to try is "Winter Katy Perry"... bubblegum brightness, a little bit cheeky and pop princess goodness to break the winter doldrums!
Any inspiration you have on this would obviously be appreciated ;-)
Sarah
Hi Viv,
ReplyDeleteI have 2 boys aged 4 and 2, and ever since having them I have lost a bit of confidence in how I should dress (the body just ain't the same anymore!!)I really struggle with dressing casually (without looking 'mumsy')but still having an edge. I love layering different textures, prints and colours in my home and would love to replicate that with my wardrobe. This is a fab giveaway, THANKS!! My email is janebackhouse@hotmail.com
Cheers, Jane

At the moment I am open to any sort of style, colour or pattern, that DOESNT have holes in it and isnt covered in my daughters breakfast/lunch/dinner!
ReplyDeleteThis (newish) mama would love to embrace the style of a Maxi skirt (even if I'm on the short side!). In which colour? Anything bright!
ReplyDeletebecehem{at)gmail[dot)com
I would love to try a more 'bohemian' style; something a bit more relaxed, feminine and flowy. I think it may suit me but have never tried it!
ReplyDeletejulie(at)beautifulyoubyjulie(dot)com
Love long dresses in winter and also socks with platform sandals, always love to see it in fashion mags, but never dared to wear it.
ReplyDeleteAnne-Claire
I'd like to travel back in time to the fourties. The dresses, the hair, gloves, hats and the shoes! When woman dressed as ladies xx

I would like to explore what is really me, and be brave enough to wear the things I love the look of on others. So, my entry:
ReplyDelete"More colour, more texture, clash instead of match, chunky with dainty, glamour with funk, pattern with pattern, light with dark, red with pink..."
I am slowly getting there but it's hard to not be self-conscious. You inspire me with your style though. :)
I love the look of ankle boots on other ladies, but I have hard time rocking them myself! It doesn't matter if they're flat or with a stiletto heel — I feel like they don't look right with any of my outfits. I will try again this fall!
ReplyDeleteYELLOW. Yellow comes & goes in different iterations. Ever since M.Williams wore this: http://photos-2.posh24.com/p/1108785/z/oscars/michelle_williams_yellow_vera.jpg to the Oscars I have coveted a complexion which suits the sunnier side of life.
ReplyDeleteMy wardrobe is fabulously colourful with lots of prints. I need monochromes esp black, I want to be hip like a beatnik.
ReplyDeletemattbaz@tpg.com.au
My style is trying to look effortlessly sleek, to look shape and put together without trying too hard. I would love to try more prints and colours now, most of my wardrobe is filled with black or block colours.
ReplyDeletecharlene.michaela(at)gmail.com
I'd love to try the caftan look. Beautiful flowing colourful ones, think Camilla Franks. Cool and effortlessly chic, well I can only try!!
ReplyDeletebeachtropic@hotmail.com
I would love to try some of this seasons neon colours! An ikat print with some neon highlights, would be perfect!!
ReplyDeleteHi Viv, I would like to be more brave to wear different colorful prints as I just noticed that most of wardrobe are grey color as they go with everything.
ReplyDeleteisyaantonius@hotmail.com
I love colour and want to be more experimental in mixing prints: your bike riding outfit from the other day was gorgeous but I'm a bit unsure where to start
ReplyDeleteExciting comp your running Viv :)
ReplyDeleteElegant feminine clothes to wear to dinner and I dont mean black and boring, I want to look and feel beautiful in what Im wearing
Hi Viv! I've always wanted to rock the biker chick look. Leather jacket, studded wrist cuffs, and a mean pair of boots.
ReplyDeleteMy style is so girly and colourful, I'd love to toughen my look up a bit, with some leather or boots!
ReplyDeleteI'm keeping my fingers crossed I win because I love Witchery!!
Email is: spotsandmishaps@gmail.com
I adore colour in my wardrobe!! Being brave for me.. to wear corporate wear with a stylish twist. This is my goal for this year.
ReplyDeletepiecestolife@gmail.com
I have trouble getting into colour - I'd really love to hit up the new pastel colours coming out - it's just scary spending money on something that might not work!
ReplyDeletemaria.libers@gmail.com
A look I'd love to try is metallics... silver and gold... and I saw some great examples in Witchery just last week.
ReplyDeleteI would love to wear more prints but they always seem too busy near my face. But I really love the splashes of neon and bright pastels I spied in the shops recently.
ReplyDeleteHere for WestBec but happy to talk about myself.
ReplyDeleteI guess my style is very hit and miss but tends towards sporty. What I want to move toward is the more "classic casual" in the spirit of George Clooney as demonstrated in the whole Oceans series of movies - but then he always seems to play himself, dressed as himself...
Great that I seem to be the first guy, not that that would seem to be the target market for a Witchery giveaway!
I want to try Nina style, desperately! At one week shy of 46 I find myself stuck in the middle of two great fashion styles - Nana Chic and Nina Chic and I want to be Nina chic....
ReplyDeleteI want to incorporate more fitted clothing into my wardrobe. I mostly have comfortable knits, rather than sleek pencil skirts or perfectly fitted jackets.
ReplyDeletebritney.mcsweeney -at- gmail -dot- com
I have lots of color in my waredrobe as well, but not much prints/florals. I would like to try mixing them up a bit. Like you have on a recent post. I love the look but never tried it on, not brave enough I guess. Hope this is the push I needed.

One day I would love to channel the ladies of Paris in the 20's and wear silk stockings, chloche hats, intricately designed, drop waist art deco inspired, frocks as I twirl my delicate lace parasol... and not look silly
ReplyDeleterachvanherk@hotmail.com
With baby number two next week, I am really looking forward to re-inventing my wardrobe post bub. For months I have been lusting after real jeans, lush chocolate boots and of course all those beautiful spring colours. I can't wait for window shopping to turn to buying... budget pending! adz_34@hotmail.com
ReplyDeletei would love to try nina's style... my wardrobe definitely needs help!!
ReplyDeleteleahdeighton@gmail.com

Dear Ish & Chi/Vivian,
ReplyDeleteI was recently diagnosed with a severe case of Print-Phobia. Yes, I have an uncanny fear of wearing anything printed, whether it’s abstract, spots, stripes or florals. Each time I attempt to purchase a pretty printed item, my hands get clammy and I imagine myself resembling wallpaper, looking ‘granny-like’ or 3 sizes heavier. Then I have visions of people laughing and pointing at me as I walk down the street. True story.
The Fashion Doctor prescribed me with a Witchery voucher plus an injection of Confidence. Witchery currently has an amazing flutter sleeve dress that has subtly fading splotches of blue, fuchsia and teal on a simple black background. This gorgeous dress would be the perfect stepping stone to overcome my Print-Phobia, as it isn’t loud, crazy or attention-seeking, but bold enough to push me out of my comfort zone.
I’d love to be friends with the Witchery voucher and finally try the trend of prints – after all, its what the Doctor prescribed! X

I would wear a fabulous 1920's beaded dress and a string of pearls whilst in a smokey bar, dancing the foxtrot to a super enthusiastic jazz band.

I am 40 weeks pregnant so I am excited about getting back into 'normal sized' clothes again. I would like to wear a pair of bright green skinny jeans with a polka dot top to match and a pair of cute sandals. I have been really loving the bright jeans but haven't been able to fit in them for a bit now as my belly wont allow it. Yay for a new baby and a splash of colour! x
ReplyDeleteHello!
ReplyDeleteI would like to try keeping warm and looking fabulous with layering and a splash of neon...and of course a pair of cowboy boots!
