I haven't been there for years either - last time was when we were in year 12, I think.

Yes! I think last time was year 12 for me too. Wow. It really felt like being in a time warp. The place has not changed at all and I think that's really nice. A bit of my teenhood still exists!

ReplyDeleteIce skating was my 'sport' of choice in high school because (1) catching a bus to the rink meant less time for sport, (2) I didn't really consider it a sport anyway, (3) I was able to get away with a lot of socialising, and (4) there was a canteen at the rink. Despite the fact that I no longer need to devise plans to get out of playing real sports, you have inspired me to give ice skating another go.
Sounds like perfect reasons to take up ice skating again, including the canteen.. but only if it serves hot chips, mmm.
