Decorating for spring/summer

Thank you for your lovely comments on my new painting. I love it, especially the colours and it has inspired me to add a little more colour to my home which I like to do as we head into the warmer months.

I have my eye on a few bright cushions from Table Tonic for the living room, in particular the pink Ikat cushions featured on the cover of Real Living last month. Do you like to decorate or make changes to your home for the warmer (or cooler) months?

PS: I can't quite believe I am talking about summer. Where I am writing from it may snow but all I can think about is lying in a hammock with an iced tea. I'll get back to my warm tea now...

  1. Since finding your blog yesterday I have been searching for that copy of Real Issue. I live in a tiny town with 1 newsagency and they've already chucked all theirs out. The magazine subscription place doesn't sell back issues and I've checked eBay. Do you have a spare copy or know someone that doesn't collect magazines religiously that wouldn't mind selling theirs? :DDD

I love your blog btw. It is so inspiring. I was unaware Aboriginal art could look so good! My bf and I have been perusing the sites you and Jen Ramos have linked us readers up to. So thanks. Endless thanks.

  8. I just came across your blog, and love it!
The painting is the perfect touch of color. I feel the same way... love white, but need a bit of color.

  9. Gorgeous Viv. So clever to pair the blue FB cushions with the painting. I'm a cushion lover too, and am struggling with the right colour to go with our new living room (sage green walls with burgundy picture rail - ugh!).

  10. The pink ikat cushions will look lovely with your painting. I am seriously in love with that painting! Are you thinking of using a few colours or just picking up on the pink tones? I noticed their is some yellow and some lilac in there too which might be nice. I'm looking at so many fabrics at the moment for my new business that I want to change my whole house for summer - ha! That's naughty though, I have to make some money first. Have a lovely weekend Viv :)
